I'd love to answer controversial matters regarding cricket fans instead of players such and Binga's issue. Those are my favorites.
Then I like to answer opinion based questions like who's better Sachin or Bradman?
Then questions which are about your personal likenesses such as what's your favorite shot?
Then stat based questions such as how many 50's has Inzamam scored?

Playing the same old vinyl this is.. Hooper got reasons to say these things, we all know them and even your question contain some of them.. "How come 9 international stars have ditched their home teams, to play for IPL teams in the Champions League?? Major conflict of interests, it seems" This is the biggest reason why some people outside India bash IPL.. Indians must be proud for this very reason and I have no problem with that.. But,, as Hooper said "We want to have our best cricketers playing each and every time we take the park" You can think as an Indian fan,, about a West Indian Premier League and some Indian players who dont get paid for playing International cricket.. "On one hand players are falling over each other to represent IPL teams" You are right.. Some players rather warm an IPL bench and earn money than playing for their national or domestic teams and many West Indies players are prime examples of it.. "new T-20 leagues are coming up every 6 months but every Tom Dee & Harry gets up to criticize IPL, at the 1st given opportunity" On point again.. Im more against these handicapped SLPL and BPL.. Altho IPL is the father figure of them Indian Premier leage got nothing to do with them,, atleast intentionaly.. Yes.. IPL did help West Indies to win the world cup.. But paying homage and dcik riding mean two different things..

It's quite complicated. Very complicated. I myself don't know which type of questions I may answer. I answer only if I have got a good answer. I like debatable questions, like some users like you, RSRD, MBIOF ask. I also like questions asking for opinions on a particular topic, and those asking about your experiece like a few you asked, and sorry I couldn't answer all because neither have I met any accident while playing cricket, nor am I a good captain. But you will never miss my star. I love reading answers of such questions.
[Among the last 20 questions I have answered, 6 are yours.]
As in general, getting huge no. of replies, you won't get it here. I have seen users of other section getting as many as 100 replies very easily, and sometimes they even get 200-300 replies and 50+ stars. But that is only possible in sections such as P&S, not here.
In this section, more than 20 answers is good, and anything more than 30 is excellent.
What I have made is a complicated theory. Tough questions do not get as many replies but do get from regular users. To get many replies you should ask easy questions, and you may get 40 answers, but not many good answers. You should ask questions answerable by all. Some users don't like giving long answers, on the other hand some ignore questions asking for small answers. You should ask questions which should attract all, that is those who like giving short answers, and those who like giving long answers.
Edit: And yes, as Cool 'Weekend' Buddy said, and I in my message said, to get more answers, one should be patient on resolving the question. A question can be kept open for 8 days.
And I am still getting answers to my Question asked about Sachin's most amazing record, 4 days ago. I'll leave it open for another 2-3 days. I have got 31 answers.

I like to answer -
✔ All questions with good content.
✔ All questions which really seeking for help
✔ Bad questions or wrong views by good users. Good users need to be corrected whenever they made a mistake. It should be done politically.
Some knowledge seeking questions will not answered by most of the answerers if asker already receives a best answer. Most answered questions are like asking a opinion where every one can share their view. We can get more replies if the question was viewed by more people, it can be done by means of extending the expiry of the question.

I'd like to see more Qs that I know the answer to,lol.I am tired of Qs about IPL,politics, hate campaigns & 6-10 users asking Qs about the same thing.

I would respond to any type of cricket question except for ones like "in IPL why did this team lose to this team?" or "who is better of these 2 cricketers" or "sachin is my hero. he should be your hero too". Something that has genuine relation to the sport of cricket or its audience. Not necessarily a question about one particular team's performance

I would like to answer interesting, light-weight, non-technical question. I don't like to answer some questions like Why a particular team lost/won yesterday. I don't like the question based on selection of players for a particular eleven' team. I love to answer questions based on user profiles just like Dinith has mentioned. I don't like to answer congratulating posts, they are boring. I love to share personal experiences. I love the questions requiring creativity, innovation and data & statistics processing. Actually there is no fix conditions, mostly my MOOD controls me all the time.

Interestingly enough, out of the five most answered questions of the last week, three were 'who is your favorite / best batsman' and one was 'who is best all rounder'.
Telling that people are far more interested in advancing an opinion than providing information.
Don't really know about a stirring question. Pitching to the controversial has almost become par for the course in this section IMHO. The old Tendulka / Bradman debate has been flogged to death, but still manages to raise the hackles.
Agree with RSRD, a clever question with some humor to it would be a contender.
Btw RSRD - pmsl at your answer to BP the other night when you apologized to 'your love' because you had to go see another woman. Priceless!

I go along with both you and RSRD. Sadly, the good questions seem to get lost in the non cricket questions on here.

I would like to answer those kind of questions which are full of sense of humor plus interesting. I don't wanna answer those like " How did you like the performance of this and that player yesterday?" or something like that. I don't remember your question but some days back you had asked an interesting one (I starred that but was so busy that I couldn't answer that one and from that day onward I've been pretty busy at my work.). I would like to answer those type of questions. I will edit my answer soon though.
