Does this guy actually like me?

First off, I am a sophomore in high school and have never been in a relationship.

So, a few days ago, I was waiting for the school bus to come and take me home with a couple of friends when this guy comes up and hangs out (he's friends with another in our group). He starts talking to me and flirts with me, a little, and asks me questions about my family and the like. He then asked me my name and before I knew it he was already entering it into his phone. When I asked him if he was expecting me to give him my number, he replied "hopefully". I told him no, and that I'd wait a bit before giving it to him. Then today in forth period (He's in my class, so I kinda new him already), our class walked to the library to get a book and he was walking with me and my friends, until eventually it was just the two of us alone. Again, a bit of flirting, saying that I am smart and that I have beautiful eyes. He also brought up that it's bugging him only having my name but not my number in his phone. I noticed that he had his hands in his pockets a majority of the time and shrugged his shoulders a little while talking to me. My friend even pointed out that when I wasn't looking, he was smiling at me.

So I just would like to know if this guy is genuinely interested in me, because he seems like a nice guy and I'd like to see where things go, but because of my lack of experience I can't be sure if this is just a game to "get with me".
