Why do people in video games mistake talent for hacks?

Me and my new friend I've JUST met on Team Fortress 2 were reaping through everyone has a heavy + medic combo, I was the medic. Somehow, my friend was accused for cheating and banned out of the server. How is that cheating? All he had to do is keep his aim on the priority target and hold M1, meanwhile i was using him has cover and they couldn't deal enough damage to outheal me. so they all died. I was survival medic, pretty much at a competitive level and I assume so did he. Why do people blame hacks on the best just because they know how to play?

    Two possible reasons.

    1) They are jealous of your friend's skills and accuse him of hacking just to vent off frustration

    2) They believe that your friend really was using hacks and accused him of hacking for a fair game.

If they accused him of hacks because he wasn't dying, the former is more likely.

If they accused him of hacks because he had awesome aim, the latter is more likely.

Damn Kelvin took the words right out of my mouth.

Plain and simple they don't want anyone around who's better than them, and they prefer the idea of you two cheating than themselves sucking

It's like that for my favorite game too..people just don't realize that there are people who have practiced enough to be truly 'skilled' at the game

Because people don't like to lose and would rather get rid of the good players so they could win.
