why do most black girls wear wigs. You can tell there a wig and they never look good wearing them.?

I don't personally know anyone that wears a wig.

And I know a lot of black women.

I'm not even going to apologize for this. This is a stupid question if there ever was one. "Black people hair". WTF. I'm sure your talking about extensions and they are worn because it's a type of style in the urban communities in most places. It's not that it is not manageable or that they need them whats-her-face. Your wrong. Dead wrong. You'd be surprised at how manageable "black people's hair" is when they actually do it. As a black person I find your response offensive. I don't care if you reply you are black too because your answer says your not and if you are your stupid. Our hair comes in all textures so none of these statements are true. Yes I am of mixed decent but i am still predominately black. The people in my family actually have long hair that is very manageable and curly. They don't wear weaves and it although most people would expect it to be fake it's not. Even I have long hair. I suggest you ask the one's wearing it and let them tell you.

idk why they wear them but i'm 21 and i just purchased my first wigs a few weeks back for the first time ever because of one reason: maintenance.

i don't know if you know anything about black hair, but assuming you don't, black hair is very time-consuming. it tends to get tangled very easily and naturally wants to matt up. so it can be a struggle to deal with every day and even when it's not a struggle, it can be draining. so a lot of black women choose weave and wigs to cut down on the need to style their own hair. its' not because they're all bald-headed, as the misconception goes. and not all of us wear wigs. but wigs are a popular choice among black women not so much because of how they look but more so because it frees them from having to manipulate their own hair. black hair breaks easily when manipulated and has to be handled with extreme care. so if a woman doesn't feel like dedicating the proper gentleness necessary to maintain the health of her own hair, she is very likely to opt for a wig because it's more durable and already pre-styled.

It has proven that black people hair are very hard to fix.

So,once they fix it,they need wigs/extensions to help them.

So,don't worry about them.Sometimes,it is their choice to have

that kind of wigs/extensions.You can't shut their mouths or stop

their opinions.They have rights to make themselves feeling better and

happier around us.

They wear wigs? I never seen them with wigs.

Because a lot of them have thick dense curly hair which is hard to maintain and style (Afros)
