Could Rap Fan's 100 Favourite Albums List Be Finished Today?

Yes, yes it could very well be, and it is. As I've said, it's not a list of the best albums of all time, it's a list of my 100 favourite albums. In case you didn't see before, brace yourself for a shameful lack of gangster albums. But, other than that, let me know what you think. BQ: What are your 3 favourite albums on the list?

BQ2: What album would you, judging from my taste, think I'd like?

Update:

@Dave: Lol I'm not a Bone-Thugs stan.

@K-Dot: Marcberg would probably earn a place in my top 150, maybe 200 albums or so. I like it, but it's not a top 100 album for me.

Update 2:

@White Tiger: I have Below the Heavens (no. 55).

@Known2Mi: Yes, it is in order. And I have the Slim Shady LP there (no. 71).

@Dick B: I think I just prefer The Low End Theory. Maybe Midnight Marauders should be a bit higher, and I knew from the start that the order might be a little out of whack, but this is pretty much in the right order for me.

@Common Ice Cube: Thank you. If you've never heard no. 100 on my list, check it out. I view it as a horrorcore/southern classic personally.

@NoOfffense: Thanks. It's really just my favourites though, I think. If I took influence and originality into account, I'd be missing stuff like Criminal Minded, and a lot of G-funk. But thanks again.

Thanks to everyone for the kind comments.

Update 3:

@The Co_oL: Sorry mate. I sort of wanted to include The Cool, but I wanted to get my horrorcore stuff in there, and there were too many other albums I really wanted to include. But thanks for the kind comment.

Update 4:

@NoOffense: About Deltron, I'm not sure if it's technically the best album of all time (there are definitely better lyrical efforts) but the beats are amazing, and the lyrics craft a story that I really got into. It's like a rap opera (as many reviewers said).

Update 5:

And I'll definitely check out that German rap group and Latryx, thanks for the recs.

Update 6:

@Chris: Thanks for the comment. I actually have both of those albums that you rec'd, but thanks anyway.

Update 7:

@Trylemma: Blunt as always lol. But I appreciate the comment, and I understand where you're coming from.

It seems as if Deltron 3030 has been in everyone's list. Does that make it the

best album of all time? It seems to be as highly regarded in this section as

    Illmatic, even more universally loved.

Anyways, I still don't understand your love for Onerology.

    WRFF>

    APOS>

    Dirty Acres>

Sure Kno's production was epic, but WRFF was a great blend of battle

raps and introspective sh*t. Whatever, it is one of the best of 2011.

Innercity Griots!!! ABDB!!! Your favorite albums by a lot of artists are

the same as mine, which I like. It's a little weird how great a list this is,

if you took into consideration influence and originality. But if these are

just your favorites then that's cool too. I think The Infamous is way too low

considering the ones above it. Sorry, but I just have a newfound respect for it,

seeing how far Mobb has fallen.

BQ: 3 Favorites are probably Innercity Griots, De La Soul is Dead,

    and Internal Affairs.

BQ2: You seem to like your abstract hip hop. I would recommend Latryx

if you haven't heard it, great concept album.

Also this German hip hop group...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDHrPLmftys

^^^^ if you listen to this album, you're my new favorite reg. And Astronautalis has

    a few good albums.

That's a Pretty Dope List there.

Are they in Order? How long did this take you?

    BQ:

    1. The Lost Tapes- Nas

    2. Illadelph Halflife- The Roots

    3. 93 Til Infinity

It's Hard to select just 3; The list has lots of my favorites

    BQ2: The Slim Shady LP?

Nice list. Is it in order? I'd have The Main Ingredient over Mecca & The Soul Brother, but that's just an opinion. Props on including The Listening and The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.

BQ: Midnight Marauders, ATLiens, and The Infamous. There's a lot of great albums on there, though. Those are just 3 that stuck out.

BQ2: idk...seems like you've got a lot of artists covered tbh. lol.

Congrats on finishing It, looks dope

BQ: Big L – Lifestylez Ov Da Poor & Dangerous

Brotha Lynch Hung – Season Of Da Siccness/Gravediggaz – 6 Feet Deep

    The Wu-Tang Clan – Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)

Overall it looks nice. I would definitely have "The Main Ingredient" in there, that is just as good, if not, better than "Mecca and the Soul Brother" imo. And where's "The Ugly Truth"? or "Between a Rock and a Hard Place"? No "Eastern Philosophy"? And I really like where "Masters of the Universe" lands, not many here would have it that high.

BQ: Right now my favs would be Illmatic, ATLiens, MBDTF

You had me at Deltron 3030 haha. Lost Tapes wasn't that great of an album all in all, but Purple is my favorite song in the history of songs so fair enough haha dope list
