Do I need a network card to use adsl?

Im getting a router and my pc doesnt have a network card. Will I be able to connect to the internet or am I missing something? Im connecting it through a lan cable I think. Im noob when it come to networks? Please tell me what I need to connect to the internet through adsl

    Yes you will need something that connects your computer to the router called an NIC (Network Interface Card).

    Are you sure you haven't got one?

    Have a look for an RJ45 socket at the back of your computer.

    If you look at the back of your tower, look for a port that looks like a phone plug but a little bit fatter. If you have one of these, then you don't need the card. If you do not have this connection, then yes you need a network card.

    What is the make and model, maybe there is an onboard network card that you can use.
