Anyone know much about cars?
I'm hoping to save our family's boat from early retirement (motorboat, kinda medium sized), but for that I need a car with which to tow it. My question: What's a car that's powerful enough to tow a boat, but easy to drive and not gas-guzzling?

i think the best car you can get wuld either be a land rover they are strong powerfull 4 wheel drive, most come with a wench on the front so you can pull a boat in thith that and there are not expensive. they may not be the best looking thing to drive but it will get the job done in an instance, my dad owns a farm and he has 4 of these once they even pulled a staled tractor there brilliant cars, hoped that helped
(type in land rover defender and take a look)

== any 6 cylinder engine in a mid-size car will handle a boat that is from 17feet to 19feet or less.... the trick to having the correct car is the boat weight and the usual ramp where you launch ... a steep ramp requires more engine power ... a nice Camero with a V-6 is a cool car and will be good in front of most any boat ..............

try a subaru legacy outback sus h6. its a sedan that has a v6 and is all wheel drive. not bad on gas they look alright. they would have plenty of power for a boat of that size

Ideally, a pickup with a V8. but just about any mid-sized SUV with a V6 engine woudl work great. would not use a car...too small/dangerous.
