why did israel build the seperation wall?
a lot of time i hear from pro-pals that israel is criminal because of the defense wall erected between israel and the palestinian authority territories.
since this wall is fairly new, why did israel choose to erect it? was it because of simple hate and discrimination of palestinians?

the wall was erected because of the wave of suicide bombers that were able to cross from the west bank into israel
it is, by the way, mainly a fence.
previously the border was open for trade and the half a million workers that crossed the border every day.
but arabs are always ready to shoot themselves in the foot and so the fence with its limited crossing points came into being.
there are many other country's that have similar fences without anyone raising an eyebrow.
saudi arabia and morocco among others.
they don't tolerate any argument over its placing, only israel high court has ordered the replacement if there are objections.
since the fence has been in place, suicide bombings have dropped by ninety percent and would be removed the day after the arabs cease using violence.

It was erected ,and supplemented by a fence to keep Palestinian terrorists out of Israel.
This was done at a time when Palestinians went on a bloody campaign to make life impossible for Israeli citizens. They blew up buses ,schools, street markets, university cafeteria , pizza and coffee
shops, night clubs for young people and even street corners.
In their politically demented state they believed that these acts of wanton terror the could destroy the will of Israeli's to live in their own State.
This bloodlust had the opposite effect. It marked the Palestinian Arabs with the mark of Cain.
Never to be allowed freely again to mingle with civilized people ,as if they were also human beings, not murderers.
Israel built a fence, and in places a wall ,to prevent terrorist attacks. They banned Palestinians from freely entering Israel. They created cross over points which would regard Palestinians as foreigners.
The terrorist attack almost stopped overnight.Israeli's were once again able to live like anybody in a Western, although not Arab, society.
The Palestinians waged a propaganda war to once again have unrestricted rights to kill and maim (with ball bearings)Israeli citizens. They got their anti-Israeli reporters to take picture of the" good "wall that kept the savages out.
They claimed that the wall was a land grab issued writs by the dozen.
.In their haste there were a few short cuts, which the Supreme Court did not throw out as vexatious.
But the truth was that Israeli's had now once again proved that one needs to quarantine terrorists..Almost half a million Palestinian workers lost their jobs, but thousands of Israeli's lives were saved.
Once again Palestinian Arabs ,living in liberated Judea had shot themselves in the foot.Once again they had been taught that violence is not a bargaining chip with Israel.
But will they ever learn?

Anyone who complains about the fence is clearly an idiot and you should probably ignore anything else they have to say. It was erected because of the horrifically large amounts of attacks from suicide bombers on things like Israeli bus stops. It has reduced terrorist attacks by 90%. How could anyone argue that this is not justified unless they just want to see more Israelis killed?

Easy.
They don't want to f*cking die.
And, statistically, it's been working.
Some do resent the Palestinians, but believe me the wall's purpose is defense of life.

The apartheid wall is essentially a land grab.
Most international condemnation (and there is a lot) centres on the areas where it cuts off Palestinian land.
