writing a book, need names for characters?

Okay so I am writing a book and I have 4 girl characters and 1 guy so far and I need some options for names.

Girl #1: Pretty, 5'2, 15, Brown hair with blonde ends, Blue eyes, reckless, in all applied classes & failing english, held back a year, mom is in abusive relationship with step dad, has 3 step-sisters & 1 step-brother, her mom broke her first mac, she spilt beer on her second, used to go to private school in calgary, lives in an apartment with mom and step dad, loves art, lana delray & lady gaga, can be very loud and weird, is only open with people she met on the internet and girl #4, pushes limits, smoked weed, will continue and self harms (cuts), considers Girl #2 a friend, best friends with Girl #3 & 4.

Girl #2: Gorgeous, 5'7 (and a half), 14, dark brown hair, blue eyes, doesn't care what people think of her, in all academic classes, must get above average, fights with parents & boyfriend, hears and sees things that aren't there, used to cut, tried to commit suicide 4 times, used to go to an all girls school, bisexual, gets angry easily, hip hop dancer, likes pills, has smoked weed and will continue, has extreme highs and extreme lows, doesn't like Girl #1, Best friends with Girl #3 & 4.

Girl #3: Beautiful, 5'4, 14, short black hair, hazel eyes, in all academic, overachiever in art, synchronized skater, parents take her phone away when she acts out, jokes about cutting, cuts, defensive, talks about girl #2 behind her back, smoked weed, may continue, loves to read, likes boy, and is best friends with Girl #1, 2 & 4.

Girl #4: Cute, 5'3, medium length red hair, green eyes, 15, cares (maybe too much) of what people think, can be reckless, all academic, below average, black belt in tae kwon do, bad relationship with dad, good relationship with mom, used to cut, used to starve, used to purge, one older sister (18), has smoked weed, won't continue, has a boyfriend who is moving away, loves book series, wants to act or sing and is best friends with Girl #1, 2 & 3.

Boy: Handsome, 6'2, short brown hair, brown eyes, 14, all academic, basketball player, good relationship with parents, really nice & sweet, likes girl #2 even though she has a boyfriend, funny, doesn't want to smoke, good friends with Girl # 4, likes reading, hopeless romantic, has had his heart broken, not open about his past, hates his hair, and loves rock (linkin park)

Last names would also be nice, but not needed.

Update:

forgot girl #4 has a stutter.

Update 2:

Who should I make my main character? (out of the girls) who should be the "hero" and who should be the protagonist ? (just another on the side question)

In my opinion, you shouldn't name a character because of their personality or looks. Think what their mom and dad would of named them, because when they are born/named, the parents wouldn't be able to tell what their personality and looks would be.

Girl 1:: April, Natalie/Natalia, Maggie, Ruby?

    Last name, Wilson? Wiley(Why-lee), Anderson?

    Maggie Mae Anderson?

Girl 2: Amanda? Layla? Sophie? Isobel? Nikita? Annica/Annika?

    Last name: Miles, Scott?

Amanda Evelyn Miles? Amanda Evelyn Scott?

Girl 3: Roxanne, Amelia, Lenore, Eleanor, Reagen?

Last names: Star, Kaytor, Uriah? Cook?

    Lenore Ruby Uriah?

Girl 4: Charlotte, Scarlett, Jocelyn, Erica, Maria?

Last names: Red hair makes me think irish or scottish, maybe search Irish or scottish last names online? I like Reid, Murray, Taylor and Ross.

    Charlotte Maria Taylor?

Boy: Mason, Gabriel, Logan, Scott, Samuel, Owen?

Not too sure for last names... I like Samuel and Owens as a last name, so if you don't use it as his name. Perhaps Gabriel Owens? some people don't have middle names.

    Hope I helped :)

I think the second girl would be a good main character. :)

girl 1:Dolores, Mary, Ella, Sam (Not Samantha); last name should start with a G (like gaga)

girl 2: Peyton, Blaze, Agatha; last name should be something regal or traditional upper class

girl 3: Alice, Meg, Bryce; last name should influence her nickname of something like Pixie, and Winn, possibly a cliche

girl 4: Taylor, Kylie, Hannah; last name should be long and include letters like u, i, m, or n, ending in a vowel

Boy: Bryan, Mike, Griffin, Edward, Will; last name should be common like Johnson or Smith, but not Smith, or possibly something that mimics a famous authors

Good Luck, would love to read the book when it comes out

What i do is go to baby name sites. The kind that let you search by meaning. Then I find a word that I think describes them, the kind of name meaning that matches their personality. That way you will have lots of name choices that are customized to your characters.

Source(s): I do it all the time.

Unless you're looking for names that have some strong meaning behind them, it doesn't really matter.

Abigail, Cora, Sue, Veronica, Micheal. I just made that up on the spot.
