find the exact value of cos pi/4 + cos pi/3?

I dont know how to set this up. I do know to use the sum formula !

    nicely, there's a trigonometric identity that publicizes: cos(x-y) = cosxcosy + sinxsiny So cos(pi/3 - pi/4) = cos pi/3 cos pi/4 + sin pi/3 sin pi/4 = sqrt(3)/2 * a million/sqrt(2) + a million/2 * a million/sqrt(2) = (sqrt(3) + a million) / (2 * sqrt(2)) And there you bypass
