How have you dealt with shuhari as a student or instructor?

Iain explains the issue well in the podcast. Were you taught the Shu-Shu-Shu stage progression or were you taught the Shu-Ha-Ri progression? Same applies if you are an instructor and teaches this.

This question was asked before and only I and Possum answered. So I thought it would benefit more people to see this get a little bit wilder view. Since I think a lot of people would benefit by considering this concept in more depth.

Update:

I get the idea that not a lot of people have an idea of what this is about or is for. Unlike nerve strikes and vital/pressure targeting, where everybody has a half baked or serious opinion, this is the "rare" knowledge few people even realize they are missing out on.
