When I was a kid and would play boy versions, sometimes your prospective girlfriend could get sick on a rainy day, and you'd go visit her.
Does that event work in any girl versions, specifically More Friends of Mineral Town? If so, are there any requirements to trigger such an event, or do they happen randomly?

No, there isn't a random event like that with the bachelors in More Friends of Mineral Town.
That would have been nice though.
