John McCain was a hero Aviator?

He was a reckless, sub-par pilot, crashing a total of five aircraft in his short flying career.

Perhaps you could make a claim that his actions while captured were heroic, but he is far from a hero aviator.

John McCain personally ditched or crashed half a dozen planes. His jet was involved in the infamous USS Forrestal incident, that almost sank an aircraft carrier, due to stupidity.

Immediately following that incident, his daddy, (an Admiral) had him flown off the ship, to avoid any pesky involvement with all that.

Hero Aviator? Who told you that? He finished next to LAST in his class of over 800. He was taken prisoner of war after being shot down. Like Bush, he pretty much sucked at everything.....and therefore, a life of politics, was his only option left.
