Thesis Statement about Dreams?

I'm a sophomore in high school, writing a research paper in Literature class. Our teacher is letting us choose any topic, as long as its related to the humanities. He approved of my topic of "Dreams" but I have no idea how to narrow that down to a specific topic/thesis statement. Right now, I have "According to Sigmund Freud's theory, dreams do have significance" It's obviously too vague though. Something about how dreams have significance in the mind, or even like using dreams in therapy? THANKS! :)

what do you want to say about dreaming? Are you speaking for it as a way to look inside the mind, or do you see dreams as merely housecleaning? Do you think dreams have meaning? Do you think that they do not?

You'll find measured arguments on any side of the issue, so you first need to decide what your stand is. Then, just say it. Dreams can be a look into the workings of the unconscious mind. or Dreams are the housekeepers of the mind. At the end of the day, they sweep out all the trash (sensory input) of our busy days.
