  • How to dye this cotton/leather/polyester bag?

I have a cotton canvas backpack style bag with polyester lining and leather for the pockets/straps, etc. I love the style and shape of it but I can't get over the ugly olive green/brown tribal print. I want to dye the bag itself some kind of dark blue, but leave the leather alone. How do I go about dyeing this? It's okay if the print still peeps out from the dye, im mostly bothered by the color. I don't want to ruin a nice bag by getting stains on the leather but I do want to change the look of the cotton itself.

  • Prom dress color for this hair color?

My hair's naturally blackish brown, but I've ombred the tips red/magenta which I absolutely love, but I'm notnsure what color prom dress would go best with this color? I'm really loving golds, but I'd like to stay away from whites/silvers. Suggestions on color/style would be awesome. Thank you! :)

  • Ukelele Painting Tips?

I'm getting my sister a Ukelele for christmas, nothing fancy, just a $30 one from Guitar Center, as she's never had one before and I think she'd like it because she's really artsy and musical.

That being said, I need tips on painting designs on the Uke, so I don't drastically ruin the instrument by accident.

Also, any suggestions as to designs to make it more fun and personal (designs don't have to be personal) would be great.

    Thanks in advance! :)

  • Favorite unpopular song?

What's your favorite 'unknown' or not-popular song? You know, stuff that doesn't play on the radio 24/7?

  • Creative Sweet Sixteen Party Ideas?

I'd really like to do something creative for my sweet 16, rather than have a party. My friend had hers at the beach, and it was really nice just hanging out with a bunch of friends without the stress of party planning. Anyways, its going to be in October, so it'll be a bit chilly but I was thinking taking my friends to a concert, or something like that. Any other ideas would be just wonderful because I can't find many artists performing in Boston in October that we'd all like. So creative ideas not like party/restaurant things. Thanks!

  • How to cheaply and easily hang paintings?

I have a bunch of paintings I've done from art classes lying around in my room and I havent gotten around to hanging them up. I dont exactly have the money or time to go buy frames and I dont want to really damage my walls with holes in case I want to move around the artwork.

Is there a cheap way to hang them up? If tape is okay, what type wouldnt damage my walls?

Most of my paintings are on flat canvas and artist's paper

    Thank you :)

  • Ideas for a pastel painting?

I take private art classes because it doesn't fit into my high school schedule, and my teacher is really laid back and lets me choose my own projects sometimes. She said we're working with pastels for our next project, but i don't know what subject to draw. We've done landscapes, animals, flowers, and portraits, and I really want to do something creative and different but I'm not sure what. Please help! Thank you :)

  • Ideas for a fairy painting?

The Idea: The canvas will be held horizontally with a fairy sitting in the center and her bare back facing us so most of the canvas is filled with her wings. All we see of her is the back of her head, her back, wings, and the top part of her skirt since she's sitting.

The Problem: I have no idea what color scheme to use, or what she's sitting on, or what's around her, or what her wings should look like (they're probably gonna be big butterfly-like wings)

I'm painting in basic acrylics, nothing very fancy

Any help would be great. Thanks!

  • Where can I get a skirted bikini?

I've been looking around for a bikini with a skirt bottom but literally nobody has them. I've checked Macys, JC Penny, Forever 21, even like Marshalls and TJ Max and everything, but I can't find any store. Is there anywhere else that might have them or will definitely have them? and why aren't they selling them this year as much anyways?

  • Road Trip Safety/Travel TIps for young first-timers?

My best friend and I are planning a road trip next Spring down the east coast (Boston - Florida?) We're not really sure where we want to go, but we'd rather have loose arrangements, like just driving wherever, whenever we feel like. We're both girls and will be 16/17 by then, obviously with licenses. We'll have a GPS in the car and we don't really want to spend too much money on things like hotels/restaurants. Safety/Travel Tips would be AWESOME. Thank you!

Also: is sleeping in the car okay? Like how would we arrange that.. Where would we park, etc?

  • Mermaid/Ocean Theme art Project?

I'm doing an art project and we're using this plaster/clay stuff to make little flat-ish charm things to attach to the enamel painting. I'm painting the form of a mermaid sitting on a rock abover water, and so far I have a starfish, some birds, and a heart (i know, random). I need more ideas for like beachy items. Thanks! :)

  • Thesis Statement about Dreams?

I'm a sophomore in high school, writing a research paper in Literature class. Our teacher is letting us choose any topic, as long as its related to the humanities. He approved of my topic of "Dreams" but I have no idea how to narrow that down to a specific topic/thesis statement. Right now, I have "According to Sigmund Freud's theory, dreams do have significance" It's obviously too vague though. Something about how dreams have significance in the mind, or even like using dreams in therapy? THANKS! :)

  • Things to do in San Jose?

I'm flying cross country (I live near Boston) to Stanford University this summer for a stayover camp/summer program thing. I'm 16 and my family isn't coming with me, but I might be staying a couple extra days with some family friends because of flight dates and whatnot. They don't have kids my age, so I probably won't have much to do. They live about a half hour from the University, I think in San Jose Bay area (not sure where this is). Are there things to do around there or will I just have to sit there doing homework for the rest of the time?
