Ideas for a pastel painting?

Question

I take private art classes because it doesn't fit into my high school schedule, and my teacher is really laid back and lets me choose my own projects sometimes. She said we're working with pastels for our next project, but i don't know what subject to draw. We've done landscapes, animals, flowers, and portraits, and I really want to do something creative and different but I'm not sure what. Please help! Thank you :)

Still life? Portraits? (A self portrait if you're feeling brave.) A landscape in a immpressionistic style. I suggest getting on google and searching for "brilliant pastel art" or something along those lines. 
  And the apples above don't look all that good... :(
