Is it OK to take Iron pills during menstruation?
My period is very heavy, usually I have low energy because of it. Will iron pills benefit? or is there negative side effects of taking iron pills?

It is fine to take iron pills, but you don't need to take them only during your period. You can take one every day, or every other day.
The negative side effects include constipation (eat lots of whole grain, raw fruits and veggies and drink lots of water) and maybe an upset tummy (take the iron tablet with food so you won't get so much upset.)

Iron pills will help, at least they do for me. Side effects are things like constipation and an upset stomach. You can usually avoid an upset stomach if you take it with food though. Hope this helps.

iron pills help carry oxygen to your body and when your on your period and if you have a heavy period it causes you to feel more tired. taking iron pills would most likely help you from feeling tired.
