How do I set up my Avon website so my customers can start buying from me online?
Hello, I sent away for information on becoming a rep and I am meeting with my LP Sunday afternoon. I don't think I've made an account yet. I was just wondering if I could this yet because I have family out of state that already wants to order. Thanks!

I'm a bit skeptical about adapting the Avon model to the internet, a system devised in the days before the age of advertising saturated media, when a local representative, supervised by a regional representative made sense, now with each rep having access to the world through the internet, redundant competing sites abound.
Their site made for repreasentative pages, avonrepresentative.com has some 550,000 pages.
I don't even know if the representative numbers are commonly known. The number of pages on avonrepresentative.com who's title mentions the state they operate in include:
CA 37,400
TX 31,900
NY 25,900
OH 17,200
GA 16,100
NJ 12,600
AL 7,810
MN 5,480
UT 3,350
DE 2,350
I mention this because it's hard for duplicate content on a given site to get search ranking, and much of the company provided pages will be similar, you would probably have a better chance of people finding your information of you had your own separate site, this could be a free blog site like on Blogger.con, they allow you to use your own custom domain name that would cost you about $10/yr. You could create a somewhat generic site that talks about health and beauty, with a bunch of original content that would earn search engine ranking and bring in visitors, with just a section talking about Avon, if you found the Avon thing didn't pan out, you could switch your asset to promote one of the many other products sold on the internet.
One example are the harder to get into CPA (Cost Per Action) networks where you can be paid for getting prospects to take some action simpler than making a purchase, like signing up for a free trial.
Just a couple of current CPA offers in this area:
Lauren Hutton Face Disc $ 45.00 Sale
Luminess Air - Airbrush Cosmetics - 30 Day Trial Offer $ 33.00 Lead
Purity Mineral Makeup $ 29.00 Lead
Sheer Cover $ 17.00 Lead
Magic Minerals - Self Correcting Makeup Powder AsSeenOnTV 2011 $ 6.00 Sale
CosmeticsCentre - Free Makeup & Cosmetics Kit - United Kingdom $ 1.05 Lead
CPA networks give you a phone interview to learn about your marketing experience and experience, perhaps one day in the future.

In the old days (before Internet) Avon reps would visit the home of each customer collecting orders but would not collect payment until delivering the order. I guess that can't work now if Avon is actually being sold online as the online rule is payment first.
