If you do not have liver problems, the maximum dose of acetaminophen for adults is 4 grams per day (4000 milligrams).

Taking more than the maximum daily amount may cause serious (possibly fatal) liver damage. Get medical help right away if you have any of the following symptoms of liver damage: persistent nausea/vomiting, extreme tiredness, stomach/abdominal pain, yellowing eyes/skin, dark urine.

Yes, taking 15 paracetamol (you don't mention ow many grams) each day for a two week period could easily lead to death because that is far, far more than a normal dosage.

  • when I had my tonsils taken out, I took 2 paracetamol every four hours- through the night as well, so I ended up taking 16 paracetamol in 24 hours. I also took ibuprofen. I did this every day till my throat was healed and this took about 2 and a half weeks. Obviously I didn't die, but it could have made me very unwell.

Overdosing on paracetamol isn't fun- it's painful and it won't actually kill you straight away. It can take 3 days for you to notice any overdose symptoms, and these are usually very painful and damaging to your organs. What I mean by that is, it damages your liver and kidneys, and if left untreated you could end up needing a transplant, which could end up taking months to find a donor, and then they have to be a perfect match and then you have to survive your surgery.

It's not fun overdosing. You have more chance of surviving than actually dying, then you have to go through the humiliation and guilt of seeing your friends and family after you get out of hospital. Think about the people who will find you, and how traumatising it will be.

Also, the actual proceedure that you'll go through after overdosing is one of the worst things in the world. You have to have your stomach pumped so you'll have a tube shoved down your throat and you'll be throwing up everywhere. If they don't do that they'll have you drink activated charcoal which is just nasty.

Even if you were just wondering what would happen if you did it, or if you are actually thinking about doing it, please don't- it's not healthy and you need help straight away before it gets worse. I know it may seem like nothing will get better, but it actually will if you get help.
