How can i record video when the lcd monitor is open? (Camcorded)?

Hey i have a Panasonic SDR-S70 and i can record when the LCD monitor is open, but not when its closed?

Any ideas, please :)

    if the LCD is closed, you couldn't see what you are aimed at and you can't operate the menu controls. some cameras have a work around, first flip the LCD so you can see from the front like when taking a picture of yourself, this camera does that. then here is the tricky part, push the LCD back in so that the picture and menu side faces out. not sure if that works for this camera, just saying it does for similar LCD flip out cameras.

    Maybe the camcorder is designed to work that way. If it is, that is a shame. I have left unattended cameras, screens closed, recording, facing the front of the church at a weddings to catch the walk down the aisle of the couple leaving the area they were married at.

    On page 23 of the manual - http://tda.panasonic-europe-service.com/docs/2z4fa... It says this camcorder does this, which is Stupid. I do not see anywhere in the manual a way to fix it in the menus.
