How to get a job with no experience?
I really need a job, but no one wants to hire me because I have no experience. I also have no volunteer experience really. I tried all last year to get a summer job while I was away from college, but still no luck. I applied directly on sight, personally went to the stores to check on my application, I dressed nice when I went job hunting, and I was very persistent... Still no job. Every time I call to check on my application, the hiring manager never want to speak to me. They just tell their associates to tell me they'll call me when they are ready. I thought you were supposed to call and check on applications, but they act like I'm stupid for calling, What the hell am I to do?! It doesn't help that my city is very poor so everyone is looking for a job. AHHH I'm stressed here!
Also what are some good volunteer jobs if that is what I need? Is 19 too old to be volunteering?

As a sister of someone who was in the military, the above answer offends me. The military is something you join when you know you're strong enough to handle it, and truly have a passion for fighting for the country. It's not something you join just to make your resume look bettter.
With that said you're never too old to volunteer. Not only does it make your resume look better, it also teaches you a lot.

No i volunteer and I am in my 50s.
I hate to say it but in circumstances such as yours unless there is a health reason why not the military is sometimes the best option to get experience and it usually looks good on a resume.
Perhaps a reserve or similar defense unit as a part time service whilst you look for work. At least you will get some experience and show you are prepared to try anything
I am surprised you cannot get volunteer experience, usually community groups are screaming out for volunteers.
the other option is ask a company if they are prepared to give you a no pay trial or some work experience, sometimes companies will take on applicants to observe what goes on in terms of the job role and then make an offer at the end if a position comes up. It does mean working full time without getting paid but usually they do not run for more than a couple of weeks.
