Considering my health issues, I think I'd buy a single storied house with a floor plan to
accomodate a wheel or electric chair. Maybe I'd have a home built with the needs of
someone in a wheel chair in mind. Then I would see if I could get a portable oxygen
tank that would permit me to leave home for the day. I have to keep so busy mentally
that I don't get cabin fever, wanting to have a change of scenery. So going to the beach and
spending the night would be my objective. And maybe the salt sea air, would revitalize
me, and help with my breathing. Everything I'd do, would enable me to have an easier
way of living, and include a get away. I think I'd throw in a new recliner that is easier to
adjust to different positions for me to sleep. I would also hire someone to cook for me
with my health issues in mind.to keep me on the right track with my diabetes.
Only after that, would I concentrate on having some actual fun in my life to give me some-
thing to look forward to.I don't know how much money we're talking about winning, but
first I'd take care of the things of necessity I need to improve my living. And then I'd
concentrate on doing what I'd like to do, to make living a fun experience.

We have already talked about this.We would: ~ Clear off all our debts ~ Buy a house plus all the stuff that goes with having a house ~ Wedding ~ Trust fund for our son plus the other children in the family (we may not get on with my fiances family but that doesn't mean we would take it out on the kids - they would get money, their parents wouldn't) ~ Repeat house and debt as above my family and my best friend ~ Repeat trust fund for the other children in my life - I have 3 adopted nieces (friends children who I love like my own) ~ Set up a business (or a couple) - we would love to become landlords and have our own gastro-pub ~ Massive holiday!MY bets friend and I are actually going to start saving for a once in a lifetime holiday to Mexico. She LOVES the country and had spent a lot of time there in her pre-mum days, before she was diagnosed with her medical condition and when she was working and earning a very high wage.We would actually just do a lot of travelling, hiring a private tutor for our kids so they wouldn't miss out on school ~ Charity donations - mainly to cancer related ones (I lost my papa to cancer just over 4 years ago) and also to the charity that is set up to research the condition my best friend has (May is Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Awareness Month) We certainly wouldn't let a lottery win phase us - we would work,it would just be different to what we do now.I would still want to train as a counsellor-midwife,the only difference is that I wouldn't have to worry about finances in order to do so.We wouldn't just live off the money we had won,we would make it work for us

These are all the things I could do with money---
Give up Medi-Cal, Section 8 and food stamps.
Buy a car.
Give to people who need security deposits to rent an apartment if they are homeless
Give to all the city animal shelters in the U.S.
Give a lot to elderly people who are poor and need food, clothing, furniture or a place to live.

I think nobody has a clue until that happens, then they can't really turn back. I would probably sit on it until I had taken some business or money management courses and I would have to find a trustworthy financial adviser.
I would give gifts secretly to those who helped me throughout life. I would not give a cent to anyone who came begging for money.

I would give to my local charities. Help my family. I am not a big spender so cant imagine what I would do for myself. I love my house and property so I would stay here. I would set up college funds for needy kids. Plus I have always wanted to help abused women and children. St. Judes Hospital would get a chunk.

I would build a custom house, perhaps underground (too many tornadoes here the past decade) and help family members, build them shelters if they want them. Invest some, donate some, help those in genuine need. Travel and see the sights and take some lessons photography and handicrafts, always wanted to throw pottery.

I would pay off my home, make sure I would be a burden to no one. Take care of my family's needs and give the rest for abused children, animals and scholarships for education.
