Who would win USA vs Russia?

A lot of people answering this question are very ignorant to the current world state.

The world is at a brink of chaos. We could literally go extinct if another war is started, simply because that war could ignite World War 3, which obviously will ignite Nuclear Warfare.

However, there is technology that is beyond obviously being hidden, not just in Russia, or U.S., but literally almost every nation there is. And there always has been, no question. The fact also remains, that people undermine the technology in foreign worlds. Do some research, and you will see that the technology is not that far behind, and in most countries it is in an equal position. As far as straight up warfare goes, it's practically impossible to determine. Russia has a incredibly large force of 20,000,000 reserved, who are ready to fight. But war isn't just about straight up numbers, it has to do with almost everything you could imagine. Things like the climate, the land, the geographical location, the waters, the natural resources. All these things could effect what kind of warfare, and power both countries can actually use against each other.

I'm not going to explain everything, but in the end I will say that it will logically go to whichever one is faster to spill their secrets in the name of war.

Example: The T-50 fighter jet was tested recently to combat the U.S.A's ever so famous F22.

Weapons aren't what they used to be, soon there will be no such thing as M4A1's, or M16A4's or AK47's. They will be history, to much more advance, and sophisticated weaponry with much more firepower. A war will only speed up the process these things are built so they can be used in war for advantages on both ends. Or visa versa, they could halt development.

Basically, it's not about who would win, because nobody would win in the end. There would be a loser, and another loser. But to answer your question I give my opinion to Russia.

Conventional with no Allies... the USA would win.

The Russians have almost no Navy left, and can't do power projection since they don't have a working aircraft carrier. Their forces are still under trained and under paid.

The US never attacked a country with advanced weapons systems ?????? Vietnam and Iraq were both recipients of the best Air-Defense systems of their day, and we smacked them both down !!

Invasion ? We could roll through Poland or land on their Pacific Coast... not in the numbers needed, but we could.

Russia would win.

The Spetnaz have proven that they can beat the best US specail force in unarmed combat and the beat the US in paintball 7 -0..

Plus they also killed 75% of the Nazis in WW2.

But it would depend on who the aggressor is -- is Russia attacking the US ( and fighting on US soil) or is it the otherway around.. That will make a huge diffrence
