Have you ever been in a long distance love relationship?
This question was asked in Yahoo. The majority said yes and it worked out. I have not. I married my college sweetheart and married ever since.
If you ever have been in a long distance love relationship would you care to share for the benefit of others. I'm sure there are more good than bad ones. If it is too personal a question please do not respond. I do not know anyone here and no one knows you so all is well

I'm in a long-distance relationship with a Filipina, been almost 6 months and its working out very well. We talk, see each other via webcam watch movies together over the internet. We have yet to meet each other in real life, but plan to do so in the future. I didn't date where I lived as most girls come across as trashy around here and didn't think much of online dating until meeting her and well it kind of just clicked for us.
Pros-
expands your horizons
might meet that special someone
gets you out of your area of dating
get to know each other better before involving sex
Cons-
don't get to see each other in person as often as you would like

Yes, I guess you can call it that. I met my current boyfriend while he was assigned here for his job. He works back and forth between here and Australia. We both knew he wouldn't be around 100% of the time and so far we have made it work. We talk on the phone most of the time when he's not around. We are both into that "traditional" type of relationship even if it's long distance. "Sharing" each other would just he wrong and we have never brought that topic up.

Yes, that's why i"m married with a son of 24 year old;
To share with someone, I don't think I will allow such a thing, I'd rather we separate, him- with somebody else while me the same perhaps not. And at present time my husband won't do such a thing otherwise I will ask for divorce so I can get a support and work at the same time. All for benefits.

Nope, I never have been in one. "out of sight, out of mind" so the story goes. I've seen many women cheat on their men when they have been deployed overseas. Still, the love letters fly across the sea.
The same with the guys. "What you don't know, won't hurt you" is the rule.
When the "truth" comes out is when it hurts. Works both ways. I'm sure many of you know stories of long distance love that failed the test faithfulness.
If you are talking about relationships that met online, then I do not know of any successful or failures.

if you met her online, it might not work. Honestly, i don't think meeting people online is a good thing at all. But if its a friend that moved, you can work out. But don't expect it to last long if you won't see eachother for more than a few monts
