Student cost of living in Sydney?
Will stay with relative in Glenwood and study law in city.
Apart from tuition fees and rental, what should a student provide for other weekly costs of survival ? Any input on cost of books for law degree per year also appreciated.
Thanks.

Well I can give you an estimate, to compare with, when I studied in Canada and I was an International Student, so the fees were a ''little bit'' higher for me. This is monthly, apart from the books which they last the entire semester of course.
Room on a Dorm $150
Food (I had a Microwave and Fridge in my room) $250 (but you may give a bit less to your family)
Books and School supplies $100 (but for Law, I'd imagine maybe $150-300 on both combined based on taking 4 classes a Semester like I did)
Personal items (deodorant, hair, shaving items etc) $50
Entertainment $50-$150 (but with studying law, you will be on the low end, because you probably study on 2-3 of the weekends out of a month
Transportation ($20-$40 although I lived on campus, I wanted to leave and explore other parts of the city)
Emergency fund $1000 (just in case I needed a jacket, pants or had to travel back home expectantly)
