Airsoft Scar GBB Mag problem?

I'm thinking about buying this scar GBB airsoft rifle from my friend...but when we fill the mags, it only shoots three rounds before it runs out of gas. What causes this?

    You either are not filling the mags properly, or you have a leaking fill valve in the mag(s). If the can of gas you are using is old/low, it might not have enough pressure to fill the mags.
