Can old Vietnamese people speak French?

Also, can a few old Vietnamese people speak Russian?

Update:

So, elderly Northern Vietnamese can speak Russian, bust most all of elderly Vietnamese (North and South) can speak French?

    Yes. The mother superior of the orphanage where I treated children was French. I spoke French to her. She translated into Vietnamese for the patients and nurses. They told Mere superieure the medical problem. She translated into French for me and I translated into English for my assistants.

    Ja. Yes, they can. Only the northerners can because of the Russia's assistance during the war. Mostly the old can speak French because of the colonial times.

    Most of the young chose to pick English over Francais, but French is trying to make a come back.
