if you hack someone's facebook can they find out who it is?
Basically, my friend (seriously my friend) wants to hack this girls facebook. I told her not to but she really wants to because of something to do with her ex. I'm not looking for judgemental comments please just a straight forward answer. She knows the security answer to her windows live messenger, so she would change that password then get facebook to send her a reset email link and then reset her password then get into her account. She lives about 15mins away from this girl, would facebook be able to get the exact address?

If she connects through a vpn while she does everything and makes a new email to have the reset sent to (all this must be done while connected through the vpn) she won't and can't get caught.

they can get the IP address, which basically means, yes, she can get caught.
If this is some revenge thing tell her it isn't worth it.
It is unlikely she will bother to have her tracked down, but she can if she wants to

You got to hide your ip but thats not guranteed they still can see the mask ip.hacking in fb accounts isnt that easy anyways so dont bother she will never get it just internet service disconnected.Just try to guess the pass .Good luck on that 10000 dollar fine!!
