Don't you think there should be an Extended Hook Blade in Assassin's creed?? :)?
Well there was a hidden blade then after that there was a hook blade and my idea is that there should be some sort of a wire between the blade and the hook so the assassin can hook on to things that are far away from him just like in batman arkham city where batman uses his batclaw :D

That would I've only ac revelations and when I first saw the hook blade I thought I could jump to farther places
