Does Church come before my family?

My 2 sisters was having babies at the time and so I wanted to be at the hospital with them and so I get a phone call saying that I should have been at the church yesterday and said with It's not about me going to church that makes me a Christian it's about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is what makes the difference. I mean I serve God and God is first in my life. Is it right that I should get bahed just because I didn't go to church that day because my sisters didn't go to church? Is it something to get upset about? Did I do something wrong just because I wanted to be with my sisters?

No, Family should come before church, not the other way around.

God gave you a brain to use; Which would be most important to God..... you being with your wife while she was giving birth to God's gift to you two or sitting in a pew worrying about your wife's welfare all alone in the hospital? It's a no-brainer. When your home sick with the flu and can't stand up are you going to have someone roll you into church? I don't think so. Use the gift God gave you,BRAIN!

No. Your family are real, and should mean the world to you - God cannot be proven, and is most likely false.

    Family is real.
