Why do people believe in mythical creatures?
I want to know from you believers (not me sorry) why you guys believe in mythical creatures and don't say because I saw them, I had a dream about them, because there's video and pictures about them, or they found a skeleton. I need hard core evidence that they are real or not.
Question what is a spirit guider and if there were werewolf and let's say when they bit someone it turns them into werewolf wouldn't the whole population be fill with werewolves? Just a hypothetical question.
Also if they were endangered wouldn't we at least get a real photographic evidence not something dock but I see your point because there's one kind of squid that never been photographed but that's because they live way under the ocean now I confuse my self. /: /:?

If you believe in God there is a lot of evidence if you look at some of the bible (we have written document at least) there is a lot of prediction that came true so there is proof.

why not? There is a possibility if there is no evidence to disprove it, just like people believing in God (the bible is not proof, it was written and edited by people who could make anything up)
However, when there are old stories and myths, we believe that they must have been founded on some truth and that makes people hopeful.

To believe in something that has no physical evidence requires a very strong belief. Maybe the person or persons want to. In some ways it is a bit romantic. A unicorn, for example, is pure and gen til. It represents goodness. Who wouldn't want to believe in that?
It is interesting to me that throughout written history mythical creatures are written about. True, the people of the time could have mistaken these creatures for something that they were not BUT nonetheless; they were written about and therefore documented.

I see no evidence they don't exist. If you are religious explain why you belive in god when there is no evidence twards his existence. Let's take the werewolf as an example I do belive in them and I am sure they exist. Mabe they are not as people think maybe they are regular humans who have a sprit guider whatever that is a wolf. Mabe they think like a wolf you never know. Vampires are real but they are people who have a diseas and show drama on it the diseas makes you alergic to sunlight and a few other qualitys but you still age.

I don't have any evidence, just as religions have no evidence of a God. I believe in the possibility of mythical creatures because I think some of the legends must have some truth in them (even if they have been exagerated). I also like the idea that there are things other than juts humans and anmals.

They believe in them because they must have once seen a misunderstanding animal that seemingly looked like: unicorns, big foot, etc. I saw one at some place, a horse with a sharpened carrot attached to its forehead.

LOL obviously if there was hardcore evidence then everyone would believe in them!

A belief/theory is considered right until it is proved wrong.
