    20 - 3k = 6k +2 Move the "k's" to the left and the numbers to the right

    -3k -6k = 2 - 20

    -9k = -18 You can change the - to +, cause they are the same on both sides

    9k = 18 Now divide the 18 by 9

    k = 18/9

    k = 2

    20-3k=6k+2

    20-2=6k+3k

    18=9k

    18/9=9k/9

    k=2

    easily...

    20 - 3k = 6k +2

    Shift the sides, so everything comes together on one side.

    18=9k

    Now Just devide the one with the other.

    18/9k = 2

    So 1k = 2
