Ramadan: Predestination?
Does Islam have predetermined fates, in that we will go to Paradise or Hell, not matter what we do? I had a conversation with a person, and that's what he said.
That's what I thought, thanks U.R.A.C.F.I

The answer is a bit complex to understand !
No God has NOT pre-destined people.
BUT God KNOWS their fate. It is your choices that decide where you go. But !!! God knows the future as clearly as the past and present. So HE already knows what choices we would be making. And consequently our fate. HE doesn't intervene in our choices. HE lets us do what we have to, so that we provide the evidence of the final result.

Assalamu alaykum Really Islam has predetermined fates but it is known only by Allah as the Greatest Creator who knows everything best We should believe in predetermined fates based on the 6 pillars of faith or eeman But all people do not know about it so we should make maximum efforts to realixed our own dreams Allah says in the Qur'an that Allah would not change the fate of a tribe if the related tribe would not make efforts to change it.Allah also says in the Qur'an that in every difficulty there is an easiness so we could not have a pessimistic feelings. We should always be optimistic.

There is no pre-judgment as to the final destination of any human being. That destination is determined by every person's actions in this life, made on the basis of his or her free choice. Had Allah pre-determined fate wholly before birth, there would have been no necessity for Allah to depute a pair of angels Munkar and Nakeer to record a person’s good and bad actions so that the net result may be taken into account by Allah on the day of judgment. Hence, Allah orders us to do what we can in order to secure a happy ending in the hereafter.
Allah (swt) also has given us the option of changing our fate on the night of Laylat al-Qadr falls on the last ten days of Ramadan. Muslims have to stay awake the wholet night seeking forgiveness and asking Dua for hereafter.

Predestination does not mean Allah predestined our fate, but things that shall happen in the world collectively, as well as in every individuals life, from day 1 to the end, from A-Z, through our own free will, is prerecorded in a preserved tablet. But it is hidden from us as a test of faith.
BTW, while believe in predestination is an article of faith in Islam, reliance upon it without having sure knowledge about it, is prohibited in Islam.

No, of course not, that would be unjust of Allah. As stated in many verses of the Quran; our actions will determine our fate
However, Allah knows our fate in advance because He is the All-Knowing

URACFI is right.
Since Allah ta;ala already knows how we will use our free will, He already knows if we will go to Paradise or Hell.

It's predetermined AS A RESULT of what we do.
