Sorry, but the answer is no. I gave him much more than a year. I've tried my hardest to believe in him, with the same level of success as believing in Santa Clause. I was religious for 14 years, and ever since I lost my belief in a god, I have been so much happier and worry free, I don't have to worry about my friends and loved ones burning in hell when they die because they didn't believe. I don't have to repent for every one of your silly little rules (sins), and I have a higher standard morality because I follow morals based on my own accord and conscience, not because Invisible Sky Daddy told us to.

The teachings in the Bible means squat to me, it was a book written by fallible men, and it shows. Oh, it shows.

Atheists have the education and intellect to know the truth and live in reality. If you need to cling to your fantasy and waste the one life you get in the vain hope of getting another that is fine by everyone but why do you need to attack people with more intelligence?!

I am an atheist; an atheist is who and what I am. I haven't been a child in almost twenty years and counting and unless I lose my faculties I'm of sound mind unless I'm up for jury duty.
