spending one more year at community college to increase my G.P.A?

currently my G.P.A is probably 3.4.. I wish to increase it by the time I go to a university. I'll probably be taking some simple classes like A&P 1&2 ,etc. My future dream is to be a doctor, but these classes aren't part of my degree plan. Will Medical school see this year as a bad thing! I hope you guys understood what I meant. I don't want to ruin my chances of getting into medical school because of this year of trying to increase my G.P.A

Update:

A&P is anatomy and physiology class xp

No I would say that is a decent idea. I would not say courses such anatomy and phsiology are easy though. But they are sure to boost your gpa if you work hard enough.

As for will med schools see these courses as a waste absolutley not, you are challenging your self with math and science courses they give priority to students who do this. Also you will have a little advantage of taking these courses since in med school you will learn about anaotmy and physiology anyways.

So take those course do your pre reqs courses and take th MCATS

When you transfer to a university you usually can only transfer up to 64 credit hours. Don't take another year if it means you'll go over that because then you are wasting money. I would suggest taking courses that are similar to your degree like a psychology, anthropology or sociology course. These may not sound close to your degree but you would be surprised at how things can overlap. Any course in the Science and Arts field would probably be more beneficial to you than a computer or whatever class you are talking about. If the class is for working spreadsheet or something that could help you later on, when you go into your medical school interview you can defend that class by saying "I felt that learning to work a spreadsheet would benefit me because..." Medical schools look at each and every course so if you have something out of the ordinary they may ask about it without/with asking about it specifically. You need to make course decisions that will help you out in the long run and not just take them willy-nilly.

I have the same problem you've just stated. I had a perfect GPA 4.00 since the current semester. This semester became my worst. I dropped out one of the courses I was taking, and I am not doing really good in the others. I felt really upset, and hopeless since my plan is to attend medical school in the future. However, I believe that GPA is important to get in to the med school, yet it's not the only factor. I mean try your best to increase your GPA, and look for a lot of experiences and programs besides academic stuffs. Don't feel hopeless no matter what happens. Always look forward to perform better job than before.

    GOOD LUCK !!
