is it illegal to keep a child from their biological father after child support is filed and done in the tx?

I filed for child support last November 2011 after my sons father procrastinated to get a blood test done for a whole year. By December, everything was confirmed, he was the father, and everything was signed and done. In Febuary, I decided to keep his father away from him because of the condition of the house. I am wondering can I get in trouble for keeping our son from his dad in the state of texas in Fort Bend County and Harris County?

Update:

He has never paid child support since it was filed. AND no I AM NOT trapping him. HE tried to trap me. I KNOW about safe sex. and we did practice it because we were not in a relationship. There is a visitation agreement. I do not care if he doesnt pay child support that is not my trouble. I did not file for the money. It was to prove that our son was his. PLUS $177 IS NOT CLOSE TO WHAT THE TRUE EXPENSES ARE!

Update 2:

He also has a criminal history of pimping woman (dont know the legal term), drugs, robbery, and aggrevated assult. Yes I knew of this before I was pregnant but I never planned on having his child. throughout the pregnancy he didnt even know I was pregnant because I didnt want him in our life.

Sounds like this a back to court thing. You can't with hold visitation rights from father. You're going to have settle this in court. Tell the judge you aren't receiving child support, and his place looks like a rat's nest. However get social services in his place before any court appearance so you have evidence regarding unclean living conditions.

If his home is really bad environment for the child and this is the reason for with holding visitation rights then get social services over there to check things out. If social services deem that the house is unfit for the child to be there then he'll need to clean up his act before visitation is continued. They can have any child removed from a home if the place looks like a rat's nest and they deem living conditions are a detriment to the child. Social services can remove any child from a home because of bad living conditions and you don't have to be married for them to deem so.

$177.00 is better than 0. He needs to pay child support....it's his responsibility of which he doesn't seem to know the mean of the word. If he doesn't pay child support, he goes to jail. Guess you wouldn't have to worry about visitation. At least for a short time.

If you know what his place looks like, then take pictures and had over to social services before they go over to his place. If he know social services is coming it's easy enough to temporarily clean up. Then back to the usual rat's nest.

Im not sure for tx but last i checked if they pay child support they have every right to see the kid. To take child support and expect him not to is kinda dumb. I dont believe in child support if you dont want the father around the kid. If you dont want him around then be the better person and take care of you and your kid no matter how hard you get its your fault you got preg. I have a son he was not plan. I dont believe in trapping guys with kids you should be responsible enough to be on some sort of birth control. They teach sex de at like 12.

The Courts are the only one to decide if the father can or cannot see the child, not you!

Yes you can get in trouble, you are not a Judge

The house has nothing to do with his ability to see the child and be a good father!!!

You sure can get in trouble! If he is the biological father he has as much of a right to the child as you do. You can not keep him from his daddy. If the father's house is unstable get social services involved. He will have to clean up his house. You can get into a lot of trouble keeping him from his father.

Is there a custodial/visitation agreement in place? Do you share custody? If your ex has visitation or custodial rights from the courts and you deny him access to your child in violation of a court order, then yes you can get in trouble.

If there is no agreement and you have full custody, then you don't have to let the father see the child until you get a court order.

But, I do find it funny that the guy is good enough to sleep with, good enough to take money from, but not good enough to see his own child.

I don't think it's illegal, may be morally wrong. But speaking as a mother who feels my son's father is best kept out of his life, due to his negative influences....don't make a big deal out of it. Stop labeling it as 'keeping him out of his life' and call it, 'doing what's BEST for your child'.

I'm certain that man know he has rights as a father and at any given moment he can go before a judge(court) and request visitation for his child.

baby help is in no way owed to the youngster. it extremely is a criminal accountability to the custodial confirm. If there is arrearage, the custodial confirm can nonetheless make declare for the arrearage, in spite of if the youngster is at present an grownup, on the grounds it extremely is a debt. If the custodial confirm isn't vulnerable to sue for arrearage, no different person holds any authority, by settlement or in any different case, to act on behalf of the confirm.

Yes I'm pretty sure it is illegal. If you are drawing childsupport he is supposed to know where you live at all times, have a phone number where he can contact his child, and have visitation with his son.
