Does anybody remember a novel from the late 70s or early 80s titled "The Punishment"?

Not sure, but would that be:

The lighthouse is owned by the mother's family and thus the story begins to unfold. The family is a bit strange at first but as the young girl spends time with them, they grow stranger and stranger and each one is hiding a secret. The young woman is on the edge in coping with her own problems that drove her to attempt suicide and as she learns more and more about the strange family, she begins to see things that aren't visible to other family members.
