Left Lane Bandits: Why?

This is to people who will not yield to faster traffic. Why do you stay in the left lane even when there are 10 people behind you? Is merging traffic scary and difficult for you to handle? Does it require less thought to be in the fast lane? Are you trying to prevent speeding even though police are far more effective but can't catch them unless they are speeding? Is there ANY logic to this???

Update:

I try not to be a bother to anyone else but make mistakes. I found that at a crosswalk, one can take a few steps and wave to the traffic. It works but is somewhat risky I guess.

I hate them too, thats why I installed a trains air horn on my car. I recently bought a crown vic so people always get the F out of my way.

The only other things you can do is to put on your left blinker and high beam them several times, the air horn works best though

I posted a youtube video of the train horn

I can't stand those *******!!!! They need to get the hell out of the way and get into the right lane so us who want to go fast can go fast. What I usually do is honk the horn, flicker my lights, and they usually move, but if they dont, it's not going to end well. And there is no logic to this at all, the reason people do this is because they think that there doing the speed limit and they should be able to be in the fast lane if they feel like. And I tell you, when I get a chance to get ahead of the *****, I gun it and leave his behind in the dust and I really hope the dust from the back of my truck goes all over his car. And I usually do honk. Were Americans, were all conceited and when you see 50 mph, that actually means do at least 60 mph! It's supposed to be 10 over not 10 under!

Source(s): Been stuck behind slow people in the fast lane many times before.

Don't know what road you were on, but I see lots of driving violations on a daily basis.

Turning into the wrong lane, not knowing where to stop due to crosswalks and locations of multiple stop signs (double lanes), not signaling, not yielding, speeding, switching multiple lanes in one shot. Before judging others, do you fall into any of these categories?

I am aware also that people will get over out of courtesy and then the other vehicles doesn't pass allowing the driver that scooted over to end up tailing the vehicle in front of them.

I believe that we should all be required to take a periodic renewal test. Some Insurance companies offer credit for Senior Driving Courses or Motorcycle Safety Courses, maybe there should also be a credit for re-testing.
