What do you think of the name Keira Mei?
I am pregnant and having a little girl this August. We currently have a 2 year old girl named Kiana Rayne. Our last name is 2 syllables and starts with a G. We are trying to come up with a cute name for our daughter due in August. We'd like a name that starts with a K and is a little unique. I really like the name Keira (like the actress Keira Knightly). It is pronounced Keer-rah. The middle name I like is Mei (pronounced May). This would be to honor my grandmother who passed away a couple of months ago (her middle name was Mae). I like the Mei spelling because I am half Asian and half White and Mei means younger sister in Chinese which I thought was fitting. However, I am nervous that many people will not be able to pronounce Mei correctly...which might not be so important since it is only her middle name. Can you please give me your opinion on the first and middle name we have picked out so far. I am also open to suggestions. Thank you in advance! :)

I really like the name Keira Mei! It's very pretty and unique too.
I think it is a nice idea to honour your grandmother, and I wouldn't worry about pronouncing Mei incorrectly. I saw it and instantly thought May, not something else. I really like the spelling anyway - it is very pretty.
Keira is a beautiful name and quite underused. I like it - it is unique and I really like the letter K. I think Kiana & Keira go well together too.
If you still have doubts, here are some other suggestions:
Kalei Mei (kay-lee)
Karina Mei
Kaera Mei (kar-ra)
Kyra Mei (ky-ra)
(by the way, I love Kiana Rayne!)
Hope this helped! Congratulations & all the best! :-)

Mei means "Beautiful" and/or "Plum" in chinese... I wasn't aware of the meaning "Younger sister"
Edit: http://www.behindthename.com/name/mei-1
"Mei Mei" means little sister though... in Mandarin I believe.
Keira Mei is lovely...
I like Mei! and think the combination sounds really nice together. Not the biggest fan of Keira but it's still nice. I don't think people will have a problem with pronouncing Mei... but either way it's the middle name and that's hardly said or heard so I wouldn't worry too much about that.

LOVE the name Kiana Rayne, it's adorable, :).
Keira is so cute, i really like it, although i prefer the spelling Kira. And i actually prefer the name Kiara (Key-are-uh) which is my baby sister's name.
Mei is so cute too, i really like it, but i prefer the spelling Mae, and i would prolly say Mei right, but not sure everyone would, but since it's only the middle name it's not that big of a deal.

How about Keira Isabelle-Mei or Keira Isabel-Mei?

I think it is great! Mostly because my name is Kiera! Pronounced Keer-ah! I like my spelling better but of course I am biased, I think it is great that you are honoring your grandmother as well.
