A question for atheists?

how many of you atheists believe in soul or free will? If you do then how do you justify your belief since both are supernatural?

Update:

@ all who claim free will isn't supernatural. Any thing which doesn't follow the laws of physics IS supernatural. free will relies on choices and ability to take decisions rationally based on that but laws of physics provide no choices.

Personally, I believe in neither. I'm a determinist who rejects spiritual dualism.

So I have nothing to justify. My beliefs are consistent.

I do not believe in souls.

I do believe in free will, but I don't believe that it is supernatural.

    >Any thing which doesn't follow the laws of physics IS supernatural

I don't think free will violates the laws of physics, either.

    >free will relies on choices and ability to take decisions rationally based on that but laws of physics provide no choices.

    Why not?

Free will isn't supernatural, its just the ability to make decisions.

As for the supernatural, you can be an atheist so long as you don't believe in gods, ghosts and things that go bump in the night are up to you.

People are people and are not to be defined by beliefs or what they tell you.

I don't believe in free will as I think that we are governed by social compliance and we only really have freedom with in those bounds. Otherwise we would not be free, incarcerated (whether it be as criminal, medically or some other means I can't think of now) and/or ostracised.

If you can't test and explain it with reason then they probably haven't discovered a method in which they can yet.

Besides all that; I am agnostic and just want to live my life and make people think, but I would prefer a smile or a laugh.

Atheism doesn't mean you don't believe in anything supernatural. It means you don't believe in God.

Personally, I am an atheist who doesn't believe in almost anything supernatural at all, in fact nothing that I can think of. The universe itself is what it is, and I believe whatever I feel is rationally justified based on the collective evidence humankind has accumulated so far. BUT, atheism as a description of worldview doesn't get you that far. All it states is you don't believe in God.

    Soul?

There is obviously no evidence for such a thing, so no, I do not believe in such nonsense.

    Free will?

    Define that phrase first.

There is nothing that is supernatural, things are either natural or they don`t exist outside the minds of the weak and under educated.

As I believe in no supernatural claims, for the same exact reason that I believe in no deities, there is no problem. The unsupported claim that free will = supernaturalism is, pure factless idiocy.

Perhaps if you actually listened to some atheists, rather than indulging your willfully ignorant delusions and lies, you might learn something...

Don't believe in soul, do believe in free will.

Free will isn't supernatural. Every animal is capable of making choices.

im not an atheist, per say, but i'll bite.... free will is not supernatural first of all.... not even sure what you mean by that... i would imagine that any atheists with any 'sense' would say they dont believe in souls because that just clearly wouldnt make sense... free will is simply the ability to think on your own.... there is nothing supernatural about it... a better argument would be to ask a christian how they believe in free will, since it is something that was imposed on us by god... if he 'knows everything that is going to happen before it happens', do we REALLY have the ability to choose it? did Lucifer REALLY CHOOSE to defy god? did judas really CHOOSE to betray jesus?

Your soul is your genes, the only physical part of you which might live on beyond your death.

Free will is limited, we have options but we can't do absolutely anything.

Neither is supernatural in the slightest.

Most atheists do not believe in a soul. You need to explain how free will is "supernatural".
