Army life vs Navy Life and Air Force life?

So a little background. I am Ex Army (13F) 173rd ABN . With having said that I was also thinking about continuing my military service in either the Navy or Air Force. I decided to look into these branches because I have a few friends who are serving in them and told said a lot of **** that flys in the Army would never be done in their branches... Don't get me wrong I am happy I did my part and am in no way knocking the US Army but there was a lot of thing that seemed unprofessional. Well to name a few the Army facilities were very out dated and run down the DEFAC had roaches the Barracks I stayed in were old/ worn out (pre WWII to be exact) a lot of people would become "Rank Happy" and abuse their authority as well as hazing each other alcohol abuse was extremly high as well as domestic violence it seemed like every weekend there would be DUIs/DWIs and alot of people were very undisciplined and to be honest there was alot of "**** Ups" SO my main question is for people that have experienced other branches of service, Is this also common in the Navy and Airforce?? by what i have heared and seen saliors and airmen seem to have more class and conduct them selves in more professional manors in comparison with the army? once again I am not trying to trash talk the US Army noe am i saying this is an army wide thing it is just my experiance I am just trying to make a comparison by between branches of service by analyzing facts?? Thank you for any feed back

I think that the Air Force particularly is much more choosy in the people they get (because they are smaller and have more applicants). You need a VERY clean record, usually need a degree or good high school past, higher ASVAB scores...also the life there is very similar to civilian life.

The Navy is a little more choosy than the Army but not Air Force. You have to be okay with small spaces and monotony (while on sea)...and being deployed often (which is similar to the Army but not the Air Force).

The Army is the largest 'force' and the most active. Their recruiting became very, almost criminal during the Iraqi war periods and the standards were very lax. They have the most spaces to fill so therefore demand the most applicants. Also there are stereotypes about the army that aren't there with the Navy and Air Force discouraging higher esteemed applicants.

However, this is all beginning to change I think. With a lot of kids joining the forces AFTER getting college degrees and Congress cutting funding which is causing people to cut the fat (useless, people that get DUIs, etc.) which didn't happen 5yrs ago in the army.

This is what I have gathered through research and speaking to numerous recruiters...

Air Force girls tend to be the most attractive. I always tell it to people like this. If you want the most fun in a few years, go Army. If you want to make a career out of the military, go Air Force. Air Force has a generally higher quality of life. I would say the Army easily has more fun in a short enlistment though. They have more opportunities for promotion, more schools, etc. Almost every branch in the military attends Army schools versus their own branch.

What flies and what doesn't depends almost entirely on who is in charge and how strictly they enforce the rules. It's all luck of the draw.

As for living conditions, the Air Force maintains newer facilities (for the most part) than any of the other branches, and you're not crammed into a giant floating tuna can like you are in the Navy.
