Repair wood table surface ?

I spilled some scented oil on my kitchen table and it ate the finish off . Any suggestions on how to repair ?

    Unfortunately that surface will need to be refinished. The scented oils have alcohol in them which disintegrates the top coat layer.

    Contact a furniture re-finisher to receive estimates. Check with Service Magic and Angie's List if you are not familar with the re-finishers in your area. You can contact me through the site below if you have any more questions.

    The other answer is right about using auto polish. Make sure your are using a soft clean cloth. Damp the cloth prior to polishing for better finish.
