anywhere in the world, somewhere with loads of things to do during the day (not just lazing on a beach although it would be nice to do that for 1 day maybe) not a clubbing holiday

You can laze around or have fun with loads of things to do.
You can go to the beach,safari,amazing african restaurants,
Apartheid museums,big rush amusement park,swim with
Dolphins,ride ostriches,several spas,indian district,etc...
DON'T GO TO ARUBA,many people have gone missing there

Aruba, they have all the usual hotel resort things but you can jet ski, dive to the reef, go shopping, charter a boat, go to museums. The island is so small, you could possibly walk round it in a couple of days.
The locals are very friendly and it's a very safe island.
