Mitsubishi 52528 lamp problems?

I got a replacement lamp for my dying one. I replaced and got a solid red lamp light. I ordered another thinking maybe the replacement was bad. Installed the new one and got the same red light lamp status. I can put in my original dying lamp and the tv fires right up. Any ideas?

Im trying to understand here, your old bulb works then why replace it? Either you have wrong lamp or put in wrong as 2 bad lamps would be rare, and reset tv by unplugging and holding power button down then restart tv and let reset I can tell you haw to get into service menu but one wrong move and the tvs logic board will be bricked.Make sure the switch is in for the lamp door if its not youll also show no lamp lite.Try resetting if not it sounds like the wrong bulb again rare because most mitz bulbs fit 10 or more models but they have different wattage ratings.I had a 744 series and I had to reset because light was flashing then all worked fine.Let me know if that helped if not email me the new bulb part number and Ill reference it in my database at work.
