Why do some Albaninas have -ic last names?

I know lots of Albanians in both Albania and Montenegro who have slavic last names like Metovic, Bajramovic, Omeralovic, Hajdarevic...etc. How does their ethnicity work? Where exactly are they from? I thought most Albanians with muslim last names in Albania had to change their last names under Hoxha. Are there any Albanian celebrities who still have the last name ending in -ic?

Update:

Lol um not really...i can show you some albanians that would make you drop your pants...zajmina vasjari, ciljeta xhilaga just to name a few

Albanians that live in Montenegro and Kosovo had to add "vic" to their last names to make them appear Slavic under the order of the Serbian Government. Here is an example for you: the last name Dedushi was changed to Dedushovic and if that person moved out of Serbia, they changed their last name to Dedushaj.

Albanians did not have to change their last name when Enver Hoxha was President in Albania. The Albanians with the "ic" that live in Albania are from Former Yugoslavia. And no, I don't think that there are any Albanian celebrities with a vic last name.

Like Ettie said, Albanain names in Yugoslavia at the time were being written as if Serbian ones. Same like in the Albanian language you would not write a name ending with "vic" as it is, but you would change it to "viq". My mom's family name is Rahmadani, and are from Presevo. During Yugoslavia they were Rahmadanovic. My dad's side is also from Presevo but we never had our name with "vic", our village was the only one without it, as my father tells me.
