"I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours."

No..but not attached to any institutionalized religion, either, because that would be false. If your faith is true, it comes from within you, and the beauty of nature is what I feel and it is real but has no name, because it is me.
To adhere to a church that tells you how to feel is like pretending to laugh. Feel it within you and listen to no other: Do not be false, you are the only one that knows the glory of the relationship between you and the universe:
Hence in a season of calm weather
Though inland far we be,
Our souls have sight of that immortal sea
Which brought us hither,
Can in a moment travel thither,
And see the children sport upon the shore,
And hear the mighty waters rolling evermore.

Michael glad you ask, good question. Last time I checked Atheist don't believe in a whole list of things. like life after death or a creator. Just because I don't warship Zeus Thor or Oden. doesn't mean I don't believe in them ,It just means that i don't pray to them. Nice try....

Atheism is, in a broad sense, the rejection of belief in the existence of deities. In a narrower sense, atheism is specifically the position that there are no deities. Most inclusively, atheism is simply the absence of belief that any deities exist.
I'm sorry, but Christians believe in God. One less, as you put it, is irrelevant. There is still a belief in God, therefor not an atheist.

Atheism means not believing in ANY Gods.
And, some might suggest those are all names for the same God (well, not Muhammad - he was strictly a human being).

If you believe in any God, by definition, you are not an Atheist. Before you use a word, it is always useful to know what it means: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/atheist?qsr...
