How can I get rid of a toothache?

My tooth really really hurts! :(

I ate12 hard sticky toffee sweets so that probably is the cause of it....

How can I get rid of it?

    temporarily buy ginger root and put it there and chew down on it. but for now take an aspirin ibuprofin if not allergic to them
