What do we call the decade of 2000 to 2010?

I know what the 50s were. and the 60s. and the 70s. and 80s. and 90s. but when referring to the decade of 2000 to 2010, what do people call that? Im north american and english is my only language but I was having a conversation with someone and we can not figure out what people call the last decade. I guess it would be the double-0's or the 00's. I think sometimes people call it the millennium but I think of that as more of the turn of the century and not the whole decade. The "2000s" to me would include of of 2000 until the year 2100, right? so.. What do people call the decade 2000-2010?
