How do you vote for an answer on Answers?

To vote best answer on someone else's question. Go to the category you want.Click "in voting" in the category you want.

Open the question you want to vote.

It sounds like you're asking about different things.

To vote on an unresolved question, go to a category and look at the top of the list of questions and click on "in Voting." You'll see what to do when you get there.

To rate answers with the thumbs system, you have to be a Level 2 user or higher. Click on the up or down thumb near any answer.

To mark a question as interesting, click on the little star just under the question.

You log out of your Yahoo account and browse YA without being logged in. That's when the bars appears saying how many thumb up or thumb downs there were on those answers.

The person who asked the question does not choose a best answer, so the question goes into voting for best answer by the entire YA community after four days, or the person who asked the question can extend the question being open for another four days one time, but the question still goes into voting for best answer the entire YA community after eight days if the asker does not select a best answer.

2. After one hour or after there are two or more answers to the question, the person who asked the question can choose a best answer or send the question into voting for best answer by the entire YA community.
