I just got a puppy, why is he doing this?
Hes about two months old now and I fed him puppy food and he got diarreah, then he started rubbing his butt against the carpet. Does he have worms? I just got him today but im taking him tomorrow to get his shots.

If he is rubbing his butt on the carpet but "scooting" then it's either a way to clean his butt or something else for their pleasure. If he's not doing it in a scooting way, he could possibly have worms. That's good that you are taking him to get shots tomorrow. Ask your vet about what he does and if it is normal for a dog or if it means he has a medical problem.

I am very sorry, but the puppy food you gave him had worms in.Tell the vet that he has worms and tell them the food you gave him had worms. They will give you a different choice (hopefully!) and you can get that instead!

It sounds like he has worms. The diarrhea can be from change in food. Go ahead and have the vet worm him.

When you take him tomorrow, tell the vet. Ask for a worming tablet, you are better off getting it from the vets.

the butt dragging is usually a sign of worms.... but the loose stools could be caused by swapping foods too quickly also.... are you feeding the same food the pup was eating before you got him?

Yup it's probably worms. There are a lot of treatments for worms if you go to a pet store.

That's usually a sign of worms, the vet can give him dewormers.
